Welcome to Woodland Fox.
Pastor Bill and Lori Younker invite you to a quiet place to be rejuvenated at their 20-acre home surrounded by woodland paths 30 minutes north of Columbia, MO 3 miles west of Hwy 63. The Younkers have designed their property for hospitality for God’s servants to rest, pray, read, and write.
Woodland Fox is perfect place for leadership and elder retreats as well. Weekend and longer stays are both available on a donation basis. Singles, couples and families are welcome.
A hearty meal and prayer are provided upon your arrival. Quarters in the lower level, 1400 sq ft, include 2 guest-rooms, each with a private bath. The living area includes a kitchenette with stocked refrigerator to aid in personal meal preparation. The living room affords a large television, DVDs, games, toys and a place for simple crafts, quilting, and watercolor painting.
Special classes are available, including Writing for your Supporters, Writing Your Life Story, and Creative Nonfiction. Seasonal Outdoor recreation is available, and a night in the treehouse might be your best night of sleep you’ve had in years. And most certainly, campfires are made upon request.
Schedule your time at Woodland Fox by contacting Lori through this page.

What is World So Bright?
World So Bright began as a collection of creative nonfiction narratives and essays seeking to capture cross-cultural experiences. Expatriates, mission workers, immigrants, and hosts shared their experiences in foreign cultures through their writing.
These writings can still be found in the blog section of this website. There, Lori continues to share her thoughts with the world.
